About the role
This key leadership role enables and supports the day-to-day operations of Footscray Community Arts in a collaborative environment that prioritizes the artists and communities we serve and platform.
The successful person will combine an astute business brain with an arts and social justice heart, leading operations that are efficient, flexible and responsive to our focus communities and our staff.
This role will include operational direction and oversight of venue operations, finance and our flagship Art Life (NDIS) program while providing support to the Executive Director and Co-CEO in human resources, quality management and strategic projects. This role is prioritized for a leader who identifies with one or more of our focus communities and has been made possible through the generous support of the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. As part of this role, we will support ongoing career development recognizing the importance of building representation and hands-on experience to your future aspirations. You will have access to mentorship and opportunities to stretch yourself professionally while contributing to an internationally recognized creative organization.
It is an exciting time to join us as we work on a significant Precinct Plan and development of a new outdoor performance space that will further position us as a leader in culturally safe practices and creatively ambitious community engaged art. This work is enabled by a landmark investment of $8.7 million through the Victorian State Government.
